A modern reimagining of one of the most iconic games of all time, Final Fantasy VII Remake harnesses the very latest technology to recreate and expand Square Enix's legendary RPG adventure for the current generation.
While trailers make it seem like the game will still be very similar to the original, exactly what will unfold is not entirely clear. Additionally, Nomura has repeatedly alluded to "surprising developments" in Rebirth. Similarly, game director Naoki Hamaguchi has teased a "big surprise" for a memorable scene.
We would, of course, like to invite returning players and longtime fans to watch our new trailer closely for glimpses of pivotal story moments that Cloud and his friends will confront.
FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH is the highly anticipated new story in the FINAL FANTASY VII remake project, a reimagining of the iconic original game into three standalone titles by its original creators.
Final Fantasy VII Remake was announced in 2015 following years of speculation. Several key staff members from the original game returned for the title, including character designer and original story writer Tetsuya Nomura as director, director and writer Yoshinori Kitase as producer, writer and event planner Kazushige Nojima as story and scenario writer, event planner Motomu Toriyama as a co-director, and composer Nobuo Uematsu who returned to write the main theme. The staff redesigned the characters to balance realism and stylization.
The narrative was praised for the characters and their arcs.[117][125][140] IGN called its "story fleshed out with real emotional arcs", praising its nostalgic feel, while criticizing the game for having "filler" and sometimes convoluted new plot points and side missions, but concluding that the remake brings a new life into a classic while standing as a great RPG on its own.[140] Shacknews wrote that the story in the remake is one of the strongest ever achieved by the company.
When designing Cloud and Sephiroth, Nomura was influenced by his view of their rivalry mirroring the legendary animosity between Miyamoto Musashi and Sasaki KojirÅ, with Cloud and Sephiroth being Musashi and KojirÅ respectively. Sephiroth's look was defined as "kakkoii", a Japanese term combining good looks with coolness.[quarenta] Several of Nomura's designs evolved substantially during development. Cloud's original design of slicked-back black hair with pelo spikes was intended to save polygons and contrast with Sephiroth's long, flowing silver hair. However, Nomura feared that such masculinity could prove unpopular with fans, so he redesigned Cloud to feature a shock of spiky, bright blond hair. Vincent's occupation changed from researcher to detective to chemist, and finally to a former Turk with a tragic past.[8][24] Scenario[edit]
HOLY COW. The tone of this game is SHOCKINGLY bizarre. I'm literally astonished Square made this game. The tone of the game is almost a PARODY of Final Fantasy 7. As someone who doesn't love 7, I'm actually alright with the parody tone, but if they took this tone with my beloved 6 or 4, I would be very upset and I'm shocked more FF7 fans don't hate this.
Sephiroth kills Aeris by impaling her with the Masamune. Cloud is enraged, but Sephiroth taunts Cloud, telling him he should not act as though he has feelings. Floating up into the sky, the "Sephiroth" turns out to be Jenova; the person the party hunted and followed since the beginning was Jenova—escaped from the tank in the Shinra Headquarters—taking Sephiroth's final fantasy vii form.
[108] Historically, Final Fantasy VII became an influential watershed of the 3D generation of consoles and games that would use the format in the 1990s, and helped establish the format's succession as the new technological frontier and standard for the mainstream industry.
Final Fantasy VII[a] is a 1997 role-playing video game developed by Square for the PlayStation console and the seventh main installment in the Final Fantasy series. Square published the game in Japan, and it was released in other regions by Sony Computer Entertainment, becoming the first game in the main series to have a PAL release. The game's story follows Cloud Strife, a mercenary who joins an eco-terrorist organization to stop a world-controlling megacorporation from using the planet's life essence as an energy source.
